Warning about blogger beta
So a few weeks ago blogger rolled out the all new Blogger Beta. It looks pretty with all kinds of spiffy new bells and whistles and so seems very tempting to switch over to. The big big issue is that you cannot be part of a group blog if you are on blogger beta. So if you are already a member of a group blog like this one, you can't switch over. But if you switch over you cannot join a group blog in the future. And I'm just discovering that if you switch you also cannot comment on non-beta blogs (and vice versa). So if you want to continue the conversation here please don't switch to blogger beta. Or at least keep your identity in regular blogger and create a new account under a different email address in blogger beta. So my opinion is that it was a really dumb and annoying move on bloggers part and wanted to give a warning about the issues.
No joke! Blogger Beta...don't do it!
However, if you have, don't despair, you can comment on blogs using the "Other" option. That's what I'm doing right now. Less convenient, but less infuriating.
