Book Club Update
I just wanted to pass on some news about our Emerging Women Book Discussions. If you are unfamiliar with this, all are invited to join in on a discussion on a particular book on the 15th of each month. You are welcome to join in whether you finished the book or not. We want this to be a chance to learn from each other, to have people to discuss new ideas with, and to keep ourselves engaged in the conversation (and to have fun).

We will be starting the discussion on Colossians Remixed this weekend. Then in May we will look at Rob Bell's new book, Sex God.

 For June we have chosen to read Visions and Longings: Medieval Women Mystics by Monica Furlong. Many of you were asking for a book on women mystics, and this one seems like a good introduction to the lives of a few of them. I'm looking forward to reading it.

We also have recently created an Amazon associates store - the Emerging Women Resource Store. In this store we have included all of our book discussion selections as well as a few other recommended emerging church books. A percentage of anything you buy from this store will be given back to Emerging Women (to help cover retreat scholarships and go towards a full website one of these days). So if you are going to buy these books anyway please buy them through this store! (we would also like to include any books written by emerging women in this store - so if you would like your book included please let us know!)

I'm looking forward to the upcoming discussions with everyone. We are always open to upcoming book selections, so feel free to pass those along at any time.
