perhaps marriage is just a wee bit to complicated to generate responses to this post.

    i dunno. just a thought.

Yes, marriage is certainly complicated! My hubby and I saw Fireproof and were so refreshed to see a movie portray covenant marriage as worthy of deep respect--and agonizingly hard at times, but fully worth the struggle. We have a copy of the Love Dare book (for individual study) and a Couple's Kit, which is a bible study for couples to do together. Both are outstanding. I found them at a discount (yay!) at www.fireproofresources.com. Check them out, and see the movie!

I have been away from this site for a long time. Once I was invited to post here, but I guess I took the "emerging" thing a bit too seriously. This movie preview seems to portray the exact same simple-mindedness that I have emerged from and have no desire to re-submerge myself into again. Ever. Thankyouverymuch. What happened here? I used to work at a Christian Bookstore and sold literaly tons of books and videos making the same claims for the status quo as this is. This ethic has utterly and completely betrayed me and others whom I know and there is no excuse for "emerging" women to be toeing this line any longer. If you don't break out of this cage, then who will? If you can't find anything better to replace this with - that the men in charge will accept - that means you're not looking hard enough or the men have given you a prettier cage to live in and you haven't emerged from it, yet, at all. Get a grip.
